<span style="color: orange;">Hey guys. What's up? ヽ(´・ω・`)、</span> Today, I have chosen to use my spare time to blog about our club meeting in our school last week, wherein professional blogger <span style="color: magenta;"><a href="http://www.pattylaurel.com/" target="_blank">Patty Laurel</a> </span>was invited to give us a speech about blogging and having passion for it. </div>
<br>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" height="333" id="yui_3_5_1_5_1383984873088_824" src="http://www.spot.ph/files/photos-the-patty-laurel-patrick-filart-wedding/1354758181-thepats7.jpg" style="height: 333px; width: 500px;" width="500"> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I just<span style="color: red;"> love, love, LOVE</span> her passion for blogging. It has inspired me to give more importance to blogging. As she shares her experiences of her life with blogging, it makes me stop and think, <span style="color: magenta;">"Looks like I have a long way to go..." ⊙▂⊙</span>. I didn't really know what being a professional was like. I didn't know how much effort you have to put just so that you'll get noticed by the public. Well, now I know.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Being the forgetful person that I am, I regret not taking down notes during her speech. I'm sure I've forgotten a lot of tips by now (Noooo!!). But anyway, I shall use this entry to reflect on the what I've learned from her. And now, the most important (and most remembered) lesson, I've just acknowledged the importance of<span style="color: #274e13;"><span style="color: black;"> having</span> <span style="color: lime;">passion</span></span> in one's heart. You can't have a good time and excel at the same time at something if you don't have passion because nothing will motivate you if you don't. Sure, you can excel at a lot of things, but where's the happiness? You have to<b> love what you're doing</b>, or at least try to<i>, </i>in order that you may succeed.<br></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br>So there. Teehee~ (◕‿◕✿)</div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Hey!<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">ヾ(☆▽☆) Everything's been hellish lately with all the school stuff. In fact, there's a Periodical Test tomorrow, but I'm just sitting here, blogging. What made me do this, you ask? Well, for one thing, my club adviser placed the deadline of this entry on October 22 (that's tomorrow, FYI). Now, back to the main point: this blog entry will be all about a neighboring club my adviser randomly placed me in, along with a fellow club member/friend of mine.</span></span></div>

<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">The club that I was assigned to was called "Film Production Club", led by our Physics teacher, Mr. Sabong. Well, actually, the only thing we did there was watch a movie called "The Blind Side" and we were given a paper wherein we are supposed to write our criticisms of the movie. That was about it.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Allow me to share my thoughts on the movie (don't expect much because I only got to watch half of it). As a writer, I must speak the mere truth. I found the movie opposite of extraordinary. The background of each character was... Well...Typical. I didn't find it so interesting, but on a scale of 1-10. I would give it a 7. I don't know, but there's something I like about it for some strange reason that I can't explain very well. Or maybe it was just because there was a certain charisma in some of the characters. What was that word...? Oh yeaahhh... <i>Attitude. </i>Yeah, that was probably it. I think it's the good vibes they give off coming throught the screen that somehow caught my attention. On the other hand, I enjoyed the plot. It wasn't too complex to the point that I couldn't understand it anymore, nor it was too cliché. Hmmm props? <i>Check. </i>Settings? <i>Check. </i>Everything in the movie was in proper place.</span></div>
<div>

<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">"The Blind Side" is about a guy named Michael Oher (pronounced as oar, yes, as in the one for boats), who struggles in a trauma he experienced as a child. But with the help of a caring lady and her family, he eventually gets over it and becomes a well-known football player. But that's<i> </i>not the end of it. There are more trials for him to face. </span></div>

<div>
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">And... <i>Cut! </i>See ya!! </span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> \(°o°;)More studying for me~! (╯︵╰,)</span></div>

Today, our club adviser has tasked us to make a post about "Top 5 or Top 10 Somethings". So, I decided to make a "Top 10 Manga List"</span><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); text-align: left;"> of the manga that I've read so far (^▽^)</span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); text-align: left;">:</span><br />
<div>
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); text-align: left;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); text-align: left;">1. <a href="http://mangafox.me/manga/gakuen_alice/">Gakuen Alice (</a></span><a href="http://mangafox.me/manga/gakuen_alice/">学園アリス</a><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); text-align: left;"><a href="http://mangafox.me/manga/gakuen_alice/">) </a>- A manga that made me feel all kinds of emotions and at the same time taught me a lot of things in life. In fact, this was the only manga that has made ever me emotional to the point that I was already in tears. The characters in this manga have so much depth and mystery in them that I couldn't stop reading it.</span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

There is not a single boring moment in this manga. Everything is just so full of excitement and energy. It's like, you can feel it through the pages. </span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />

<div>
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); text-align: left;">3.<a href="http://mangafox.me/manga/tsubasa_reservoir_chronicle/"> Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles (</a></span><a href="http://mangafox.me/manga/tsubasa_reservoir_chronicle/">ツバサ・クロニクル)</a> - I, for one, am not a fan of action manga, but this one was an exception. The characters, dimensions they travel through, and everything else will never make you lose interest. I love how the authors of this manga connect the titles of their other works all together. It makes my eyes go wider each time a character from another manga comes along. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

The energetic characters really made me LOL but at the same time made me feel emotional. And in a way, this manga somewhat made a contribution to who I am now. It inspired me, and always will. Here's my favorite quote from it:<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

Sweet love is always in the air whenever I read this. <br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

So, therefore, their plots have this connection in it. On the other hand, I find the art kind of weird (no offense) and the story kind of confusing (but maybe that's just me being me), but despite that, I love the mystery and suspense it has all the time. I love how it's centered on one theme: believing in the power of fate. Am currently planning to read its sequel, <a href="http://mangafox.me/manga/xxxholic_rei/">xxxHolic Rei</a>.</span></div>

<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); text-align: left;">7.<a href="http://mangafox.me/manga/rockin_heaven/"> Rockin' Heaven (</a></span><a href="http://mangafox.me/manga/rockin_heaven/">ロッキン★ヘブン)</a> - I can't help but admire the art of this manga. Especially the hair. I can't stop staring at their hair whenever I read this. But that is not the only thing I admire about this manga. The story was a job well done as well.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="" height="1327" id="yui_3_5_1_5_1379170950046_812" src="http://i3.mangareader.net/rockin-heaven/14/rockin-heaven-1172944.jpg" style="height: 492px; width: 297px;" width="800" /></div>

And at the back portion of this manga, there are recipes of the featured dishes. Which, by the way, reminds me that I have to get back to that. Moving on, this manga, as girly as it looks, is actually more interesting than what meets the eye. The storyline will really grasp your attention as you read it.<br />

Lollipop (</a></span><a href="http://mangafox.me/manga/mamotte_lollipop/">まもって! ロリポップ)</a> - This is the first manga that I have ever read. It all started when I was about... 3rd grade? I was browsing through books in my local bookstore when the candy design on the cover caught my eyes' attention. As cute as it looks, well, actually, even the inside of it and everything else follows, even the plot and the characters are cute. It got me hooked up mostly because of the love story in it.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

It's more that that. <i>Way </i>more than that. Tragedies, deceits, and such, combined with a twisted, exciting plot is what makes this manga so exciting. </div>

There will be more to come, I'm sure of it. Anyways, let's start off with this, shall we?:<div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTTO0nVHV31LW2jLyUJZAp9eayJZoB5ossFobei-aO-_OizOIJrjTUZhCx5EIYUcEj3vhz9FJyxFFblZfhIzGu2iE3lAnsk7KjeBCUnZHSUEmUvzRMvgSrfUZABm7nKsuUqoccNeUeBFxB/s640/blogger-image--77234988.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTTO0nVHV31LW2jLyUJZAp9eayJZoB5ossFobei-aO-_OizOIJrjTUZhCx5EIYUcEj3vhz9FJyxFFblZfhIzGu2iE3lAnsk7KjeBCUnZHSUEmUvzRMvgSrfUZABm7nKsuUqoccNeUeBFxB/s640/blogger-image--77234988.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Now, this entry will be all about awkward moments, as what our club advisor told us to make. So, anyways, that is me in my fish costume. You see, our school has this program every year called "China Tour". Just this summer, I decided to join. It's 8 weeks in China with no family and home. Just friends, other friends from other schools, independence, extra curricular activities (dancing, wu shu, music, etc.), and, well, obviously, Chinese. </div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">One day, they started to pick out girls who would be part of the "年年有余" (read as: nián nián yǒu yú) dance or "There Is A Surplus Every Year" dance, in English (I'm not sure if I got the meaning right). I don't really know how the fish costume is related to the title of the song though. They chose those who were "thin and tall". I'm not boasting or anything, but I kind of saw that coming.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Anyways, even though wearing that headdress thing and the costume made me feel awkward, I don't regret being a part of it. I remember one of my fellow dancemates got frustrated of me because I sucked at dancing it. I thought that she was such an overachiever. That pushed me into working harder and doing my best. I didn't want to embarrass myself. And sure enough, in the end, it all payed off. I did pretty well, if I do say so myself. I realized that hard work and sweat will bring glory in the end. Overachieving isn't so bad after all. <span style="text-align: left; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> (⌒▽⌒)☆</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Looking at that picture doesn't only remind me of the dance, but the whole China Tour experience itself and a person that taught me a lesson about perseverance. Even though we've never talked, I noticed something. I would casually look below the balcony and would notice him mopping the halls below when it's wet from the rain. At other times, he would practice basketball even though he sucks at it. Practicing in a place where he knows that people could see him fail, and so on. I looked up to him. Second, he taught me to do things before it's too late. I should've talked to him, to tell him of how much I was inspired by him. Or maybe he's not as great as I thought...? I don't know. I wanted to find out, but couldn't. I was too embarrassed. <span style="text-align: left; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> (╯︵╰,)</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">But the point is, I was once a lazy, unproductive being. I didn't know what to do with my time. But that was then, and this is now. I am slowly evolving, working my way up towards bigger goals. Improving my academic performance step by step. And, well, slightly overachieving. Who knew that one summer can change a person so quickly? <span style="text-align: left; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">(*⌒∇⌒*)</span></div>Jillianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12300467282473097540noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6462499190644351808.post-11310523077342434792013-08-19T03:14:00.000-07:002013-08-19T08:25:50.948-07:00A World of New Beginnings<div>

<br>
Hey there!<span class="style1"><span style="color: black;">ヾ(^∇^)</span></span> I'm not really sure how this blog thing works (I still get lost around here wondering which button to click (。_。;) ), but I guess I'll get the hang of it somehow. Now, I'm sure you're wondering what this blog is all about, what the title stands for, and most probably why I chose such a peculiar blog address. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
Well, first thing's first. This blog is all about, as the message below the title says, where I place my experiences, share my interests, and where my assembly of thoughts gather. More specifically, I intend to use this blog as a place to store my memorable adventures and maybe people I meet along the way. I also want to express my love of food, fashion, and many other things in the form of writing. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
You want to know how'd i get such a title? Well, I'll tell you. Whether you like it or not. The reason why I chose that title is because I describe myself as a person who loves a variety. A person who can't stand having a taste of everything. I can't just choose one thing in almost all categories. Especially food.</div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
And in case you're wondering why I chose this blog address, I chose it because, well, all my other ideas were already taken and the day that I created this blog was also the day of the deadline of blog link submission (I joined Blogger's Hub in my school, a club that serves as guide to its members for blogging), so I just decided to send the link to our club adviser, Ms. Gaza. I was already sleepy that time, so I didn't care (−.−)Zzz・・・. Also, for those of you who don't know me and just happened to come across my blog, you know the nursery rhyme "Jack and Jill", right? Well, my name's Jillian.</div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
So that's the story of how this blog started. Signing off~! <span style="color: black;">(^
